How to Improve Discipline

March 23, 2016 Brian Wieners

** Discipline is essential to success.

In any aspect of your life you must master yourself by becoming disciplined. Discipline is training yourself to do the things you don't necessarily want to do, but know that you must do in order to succeed. Being disciplined may seem simple, but it is honestly one of the most challenging parts of any craft, passion, or career. Chances are you know exactly what you must do in order to reach that "next level" but you're afraid to do what it is you know you need to. You may even be afraid of success, afraid of the responsibility, and the sacrifices you must make.

There are 5 steps you must take in order to become truly disciplined.

1. Figure out what you need to do in order to succeed.

2. Figure out why you aren't doing what you need to be doing.

3. Break bad habit(s). Make what you don't want to, but must do, your habit.

4. Set a goal to start doing what you must. Break it into 5 smaller goals.

5. Execute your disciplined action toward your goal, and reward yourself.

But if you don't execute day in, day out. You must punish yourself. This is essentially all you need to do in order to be disciplined, the power of self discipline is more powerful in the world of business than everything else combined. Discipline is the only thing separating you from where you are, and where you want to be at this moment. So stop and think for a minute on what areas of your life you feel are lacking discipline. Is there a reason you're lazy in this area? Are you sabotaging yourself? In what way can you improve upon yourself this week? Any bad habits that you just need to kick? Make this week, the week to end it, and start anew. Figure out your 5 worst habits, and make a point to take disciplined, and proud movements in ridding their negative effect on your life. Now, figure out 5 good habits to replace them, otherwise you will feel a void and return to them. Start taking disciplined action to not only rid yourself of your bad habits, but to replace them with good ones.

** What you can do right now. -----

Write down 5 bad habits. Break down exactly how you will rid them from your life. Write down 5 good habits. Break down exactly how you will install them into your life. Imagine how amazing your life will become when you take disciplined and consistent action towards your goals. Consider all the things you might end up as if you are not disciplined, start to slack off, or give up. Take things day by day. Don't say I will never do something again. Just try to get through each day. Set goals for yourself every single morning. Recall your day, and imagine your life. Ponder what you must do to succeed every night by writing to yourself. Punish yourself when you aren't disciplined. Reward yourself when you are. If you enjoy the content of this email you will love our premium ebooks and guides.
